The private health fitness studio Mafit Health is located at Pujmanové 1753/10a in Prague 4, in the Nusle district. It is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 9 pm. Closed on Sundays.

Finding the fitness studio is very easy, as it is located in the Parkview by Skanska building (photo below).

The chief movement specialist at Mafit Health studio is Maria Mazur. Maria is also the founder of the studio. She has over 15 years of experience.

We spoke with Maria about the unique methodologies used at Mafit Health studio, as well as how sports activities not only contribute to a beautiful and healthy body but can also alleviate chronic pains and prevent the need for musculoskeletal surgeries. However, it's essential that physical exercises are performed correctly to achieve these benefits!

- Tell us about your studio, what do you specialize in, and what makes you unique?
- Our private fitness studio, Mafit Health, specializes in physiofitness, rehabilitation fitness, and patented unique sports methodologies aimed at relieving body pain without surgery. People not only return to a pain-free quality of life through sessions at Mafit Health but can also maintain this quality of life continuously. The first 30-minute consultation is always free. We conduct body diagnostics using the Inbody 270 apparatus. Additionally, our specialists at Mafit Health perform kinesiological diagnostics of the musculoskeletal system, which allows us to identify problems in the body and, based on this, develop a plan and treatment program with physio training. In each case, the approach is individualized for every client. Moreover, during the sessions, the treatment plan and program are continuously adjusted based on the client's progress and specific needs.

- How long has your studio been operating?

- We opened the first Mafit Health therapeutic fitness studio in early 2023 in Prague 4, and we are actively building our client base. Our team has come a long way and gained significant experience in this field. Seeing the shortcomings in working with clients in other fitness centers, we decided to open our unique musculoskeletal apparatus studio. We aim to help people by relieving their pain and making their lives more comfortable and of higher quality.

- What unique methodologies do you offer?

- In addition to individual training for weight loss, muscle gain, or physical activity recovery, at Mafit Health studio, we treat with therapeutic physical culture (LFK) and help combat conditions such as osteochondrosis, protrusions and hernias of the spine, ligament sprains, coxarthrosis, scoliosis, arthrosis, arthritis, headaches, and dizziness, as well as pain in the back/loins/neck/knees/waist/joints. Also, therapeutic exercise can help eliminate body asymmetry and flat feet. Just imagine, curing any of these problems without any pills, surgical interventions, or operations. Only proper physiotherapy and rehabilitation fitness with decompression exercises.

Our main uniqueness lies in the individual approach to each client. We offer a 30-minute free consultation, where we identify the client's problems and goals, and also showcase our studio. The second visit involves a full-body diagnosis, which allows us to develop a plan of individual workouts. Then the training sessions begin, each lasting 1.5 hours. The training is divided into blocks: warm-up, main part of the workout, percussion massage. The training plans are not only individualized, but the workouts themselves also vary from one another. There is no uniformity.

- Are these methodologies your know-how?

- Yes, all the methods of work are my own inventions. For many years, I have been applying my methods in practice and have seen only positive feedback and amazing results. Some of the methodologies are currently undergoing the patenting procedure.

- Is it true that physical exercise can prevent further deterioration of health?

- Yes, that is absolutely true. However, it's important to always understand how exercises are being performed correctly, what goal you are pursuing with physical activity, and what work your trainer is doing. Because with incorrect workouts, you might not only fail to help but also worsen the situation, possibly leading to injury or exacerbating pain.

For example, if you regularly attend circuit training with the same rhythm, someone might start feeling lethargic after just one or two sessions, sometimes even at the mere thought of attending such a workout. This is because each person requires their own rhythm, approach, and methods of work. If something in the body is not working correctly, it should be identified and taken into account from the outset. As practice shows, this is rarely done in other fitness studios.

We are all unique, and to avoid harm and deliver joy from physical activity, one must have a very detailed and deep understanding of sports physiology and how it works.

You should feel joy at the mere thought of the upcoming workout or physiotherapy. If this is not the case, then most likely, you are doing something wrong, and it's time to change your workout methods and sign up for a free consultation at our studio to get acquainted with the correct physical culture.

- Do your trainers have medical education?

- Yes. We work with rehabilitation trainers, kinesiologists, and traumatologists. Plus, we have yoga trainers for group and individual sessions. We also invite medical university students with knowledge of Czech and English languages to our studio for practice and further employment. - Do I need to provide any documents from doctors to train at your studio?
- To start training with us, you don't need to provide any documents. It's enough to come for a free consultation, where you will personally tell us your goals, what hurts, and what problems you have. On the second visit, we will conduct diagnostics and provide more detailed consultation, including a kinesiological analysis with diagnostics on the Inbody 270 machine. If you have any medical records, ultrasound scans, X-rays, MRI, please bring them with you. But there's no need to take images or undergo tests in advance if you don't have them.

- How long does the training course last?

- The duration of the course depends on your goal. For example, if you have knee pain and want to get rid of it, you will feel the first changes within a month. However, based on our experience, to completely get rid of pain, it usually takes about six months of regular training. We've had clients whose headaches disappeared after a month of training in our studio. It's all very individual and depends on many factors: the number of workouts, nutrition, lifestyle. Other factors also influence the result, which we work on separately and provide recommendations for each client.

- What kind of clients come to you most often? What problems do they have?

- Most often, people come to us with joint pain and back pain. This is due to a sedentary lifestyle. People move very little, and few people do even basic exercises in the morning. Over time, the situation worsens to the point where a body imbalance appears, along with pain in different parts of the body. Also, people often come with headaches. We help solve all these problems, teach our clients a new lifestyle, and help them love fitness and physical activity.

- Can people without any musculoskeletal problems train in your studio?

- Yes, of course, they can. Our studio is aimed at everyone who understands the importance of the right approach in sports. Everyone who loves variety and will be happy to do new exercises at each of our workouts. Everyone who knows what they want from sports. From us, you get individual sessions where the focus is only on you, and most importantly, on results. Believe me, coming to our private studio, you will see fitness from a different perspective.
